If you read my post a week ago about the Rubbermaid easy-find lids, you were one of the lucky few to have a peek into my container cupboard. It was pretty bad. And thanks to the easy find lids, it is getting so much better (head over here to read more). So my next quest is to simplify school lunch prep. Making lunches for four hungry boys takes a lot of work and demands a certain level of creativity that my brain can’t always conjure up. I admit it. I don’t make Pinterest–worthy lunches. I don’t have the time and energy to cut food into shapes (and I don’t want to waste food scraps that are left behind!! Am I the only one?!).
Enter LunchBlox from Rubbermaid. Such a great design for lunch containers: a large box on the bottom, an ice pack that fits right in the middle, and smaller boxes on top, and they all snap together! They can go in the microwave, the dishwasher, and the freezer!
And the colours are so bright and cheery. The built-in ice pack is perfect to keep the entire lunch evenly cool, and everything snaps right into each other (my kids thought it was great to build with, like Lego!!).
My intent, when I got this, was to use it for the boys and their lunches, but it is so nice, that I just might keep it for myself! Now that I’m teaching more often, I need to bring a lunch for myself. These containers are perfect for salads, leftovers, and snacks. Having healthy food readily available makes me more likely to avoid the unhealthy food, and less likely to go out and spend money on lunches. Maybe I need to go out and get a few more sets so I can share with the kids!
Because these are from Rubbermaid, I know that the products are durable. And you get the high-quality bento-style lunch kit at a very reasonable cost! How do you make lunch prep easier for your family?

I have a set of Lunch Blox and use them all the time. I love it 🙂
Dude. Tupperware has always been so blah. That’s why I’ve always disliked it. But these DO look bright and cheery! I might have to pick some up for myself! They would certainly bring in a nice pop of color to my kitchen!
These would be perfect for sending snacks to school with my daughter. She want stop bring oranges and carrots but they aren’t holding up well in baggies!
I love that the containers all snap together – my kids would probably compare them to Lego too! Anything that simplifies lunch packing is a bonus in my books!
We love this! I look at the school menu for the week ahead and buy and make lunches for when they need to pack. That way we just grab and go!
I need a set of lunch boxes similar to those for the kids lunches. Anyhow, always have fresh fruit or veggies with lunch or just for a snack.
I love rubbermaid! This is one of my fave lunchbox so far and my daughter loved it as well!
I keep seeing this in the stores and thinking I need to get these! They look very cute. I just found out my son is allergic to a lot so it is hard planning his meals spur of the moment, so I need to get these, so I can try to plan the day before.
I’d be inclined to keep cut up veggies and things in them too. They’re really cute and I like how they stack!
I need to get these. I just send lunchables right now and I would much rather put in fresh stuff from our fridge in her lunch.
I love the LunchBlox! We have a couple that we use all the time.
I love pretty containers too, they sure make anything in them look prettier. The containers above are terrific and colorful.
We have a couple of LunchBlox! I like the color of this one!
We love the Rubbermaid lunch containers, especially the one made for a salad.
