Dollarama: It should be called the $22 Store #FavouritesFriday

How many times have you been to Dollarama in the past 6 months without forking over at least $20? Especially when you just went for 2 things?! I was skeptical – actually, downright annoyed – when Dollarama introduced $2 & $3 items a few years ago. Just another one of those dollar stores that now sold items for $3 that you used to buy for $1. 

Here are some of the great deals that we saw (and yes, we bought some for The Box) this week at Dollarama. 

Dollarama also carries some great products that are produced specifically for them, so you’re not necessarily getting a huge ‘savings’, they’re worth every penny (and then some).  These are some of my fave products there:

I have spent ALTOGETHER too many hours washing baby bottles in the last 3 years and I have learned one very important thing during that time: These $1.25 Fisher Price Fisher Price Easy Swivel Nipple & Bottle Brushes are The Best Bottle Brush You Will Find. Bar none. Buy them. Use them to wash out vases, if you don’t have babies using bottles anymore. You will not be sorry.

 These Betty Crocker spatulas will change your life in the kitchen. I have two of these spoon spatulas (because I don’t know about you, but I almost always use 2 when baking. Maybe I’m just wasteful.) and I love them so much that I donated the 3 non-Betty Crocker spatulas left in my drawer to the thrift store. The icing spatula is also fantastic, but if you don’t make iced cakes once a month, it’s not really a necessity. 
This is a new favourite. Marya saw them at her local Dollarama earlier this week, so when I went the other day I kept a lookout. I’m SO excited to pack some fun drinks in mason jars for our picnics at Toronto Island this summer and bring these lids along to keep the bees out!
These water socks are absolutely fantastic for small feet in the summer. I often find that there’s foreign debris that could hurt the kids’ feet at spash pads around Hamilton, but these water socks will do a good job of protecting them from that as well as just the sharp bits of concrete. They’re best for little walkers – I’d say feet (infant) size 3-7? 

Now, here’s the deal. Not everything that you will find at Dollarama is good quality or worth the few dollars that you’ll spend on it – but if you follow our rule of Clearance Shopping at Target (Shop Often and Know Where to Look!) – you’ll get to be pretty talented at spotting the gems in the store.  Tell me: What are your best finds there? 
I forgot to tell you about the Gyro-bowl I picked up for $3 when they changed their packaging, and the EXACT SAME PRODUCT was for sale at Shopper’s for $16 but in a different box!!
