Veggie Tales Stained Glass

This was a fun craft we did, along the same lines as the Nativity Stained Glass.  I love doing the tissue paper stained glass on clear contact paper because you don’t get all that sticky mess from the white glue!
We got the idea from this post at “I Can Teach My Child.”
I had the boys cut strips of tissue paper into small squares (great fine motor practice!) and I gave them a circle shape of clear contact paper.  They arranged the pieces on the entire circle.

I drew & cut out some eyes, a mouth, and a stem.  We placed them on top, put another piece of clear contact paper over it, and trimmed around the edges.  It turned out great!

Such a nice way to brighten up a dreary day!

I live in Bowmanville, and am a mom to four young boys - it can get a little loud in my house. I am a Christian, a part-time French teacher, a piano teacher and former homeschooler. I love finding the best deals, which will come in handy when our boys become hungry teenagers! We just moved to a house with more outdoor space, and I'm still getting used to life in the country (a walk around the block is a lot longer here!).
