So we were visiting family for the long weekend. I got my own things packed. All the kids’ things packed. Even the husband’s things packed. We get to a service station and realize that we did not pack the dog’s things – we forgot the dog leash. As if I don’t have enough to think about when getting ready. We did grab the dog food, just not the leash. And while we can trust the dog at home with no leash, we can’t trust her in a strange place.
So my husband came up with a great idea – the strap from a duffle bag or computer bag! It already has clips on either end, so it can easily attach to the dog’s leash. It’s pretty strong, and we had several to choose from.
It worked out quite well for us on the weekend, and I imagine we’ll be doing this again if when we forget the leash again sometime!

That is a fantastic idea. I am totally trying this.
Great hack…have so “been there, needed that”!
That is a really great idea! We don’t have a dog right now but definitely something to keep in mind.
I don’t have a dog but my sister-in-law does. I am passing this on to her. Great Idea!
I have experienced this before, so I’ll definitely need this dog leash hack for next time.
I will remember that when I get a dog someday.
Love that hack, and great reminder for ya! Don’t forget next time.
That is such a smart hack! I probably would have bought another leash before thinking of something like that.
Great idea! We’re the same with our dog. She pretty great at home but when she goes elsewhere she can get all bent out of shape!
That was really quick thinking on his part! I’m pretty impressed!
Me too! 🙂
