The Best Fitness Inspiration from Pinterest

As we enter Day 8 of our 30-Day fitness challenge, my muscles are a little sore in places they aren’t usually.  Climbing stairs is tricky.  Carrying something as small as my school bag reminds me that I’ve been using long-neglected muscles.  But it’s all for a good cause.  I’m looking forward to the satisfaction of completing this challenge, and hopefully noticing some improvement in my fitness level at the same time.

I thought I’d share a few of my favourite fitness inspiration posts from Pinterest.  It always helps to have an encouraging word or image to help meet a goal.

Another great post from SparkPeople.com, this one about finding motivation to work out when it’s cold & dark out.

And here’s a great article from FitSugar.com with 9 Things You Can Do In Your Kitchen to get fit.

The biggest thing that I can think of, though, is to drink water!   At least 8 glasses a day.  It helps me feel fuller longer and keeps my hands & mouth busy so that I’m not off snacking on stuff I shouldn’t be eating.

If you’re interested in joining our challenge, check it out here and jump right in!  Pushups, squats, crunches, planks, and drinking water.

If you’ve been following along, keep up the good work!  What do you find easiest?  Which do you struggle with?  I’m finding the pushups a nice, gradual increase.  I like to do them first thing in the morning. I don’t like the crunches so much. The water is okay, but I need to keep reminding myself, otherwise I’d foget.

I live in Bowmanville, and am a mom to four young boys - it can get a little loud in my house. I am a Christian, a part-time French teacher, a piano teacher and former homeschooler. I love finding the best deals, which will come in handy when our boys become hungry teenagers! We just moved to a house with more outdoor space, and I'm still getting used to life in the country (a walk around the block is a lot longer here!).

  2. So much information altogether… great post

  3. I always have lots of drinks during the day, granted a lot of times they are soda but this year I have already cut back on the amount of soda I drink and replaced it with water. I don’t like plain water, but a splash of applejuice seems to do the trick.
