Temperature Blanket 2016 Month One

I had posted a few updates about my newest project, a Temperature Blanket. If you haven’t heard of it, basically it is a blanket where you crochet one row a day for an entire year, based on the temperature.

Mine was a few days (okay, weeks) behind which is why I’m a little late showing off the first month. Here is January of my Temperature Blanket. I’m very surprised at all the grey (temperature above freezing). I was expecting a lot more deep blues for January. I guess this will be a good visual reminder of our unseasonably warm winter!

I also only have 2 rows of white for snow. I decided I’d only do a row if it was a decent amount of snow (ie. 5 cm or more) and we have  hardly had that!

Coming up in February: my son’s birthday (some sort of special yarn, maybe?) and a lot more warm temps! Stay tuned!

I live in Bowmanville, and am a mom to four young boys - it can get a little loud in my house. I am a Christian, a part-time French teacher, a piano teacher and former homeschooler. I love finding the best deals, which will come in handy when our boys become hungry teenagers! We just moved to a house with more outdoor space, and I'm still getting used to life in the country (a walk around the block is a lot longer here!).
