We are coming to that time of year again – time to hit the malls in search of that perfect gift. And while I, myself, have never really been bothered by all the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping, there are many who are. But your experience could be greatly improved with just a few simple services.
Imagine this. You show up to the parking lot, and instead of circling for hours, fighting for a spot, and ending up in Siberia, you hand your keys to a valet and walk right in the mall.
Then you leave your coat and parcels at the counter so you can shop in comfort. Finally, after hours of shopping, you drop off your gifts to be expertly wrapped while you put up your feet and enjoy some hot chocolate while being serenaded with jazzy Christmas carols on a baby grand in an elegantly-decorated lounge. That doesn’t sound stressful – it sounds like a vacation!
Well, this can happen for you, if you are an RBC Avion cardholder. They have elegant VIP lounges set up in various malls across Canada – Yorkdale, Square One, and also Coquitlam (BC).
They even have iPads to borrow, and children’s books for your little ones!
They have thought of everything! All these services are absolutely free for all Avioners! I got a chance to try it out, and believe me, it was luxurious!
Services available:
- Valet parking
- Coat and parcel check
- VIP lounge and café
- Concierge services
- Gift wrapping service
The best part, though, is that everyone can take advantage of these wonderful lounges, even if you do not have an Avion card. The services are available to the public for a small donation to the Hospital for Sick Children. Isn’t that great? You get your gifts wrapped, and an enjoyable shopping experience, and the hospital benefits!
How do you feel about Christmas shopping? Do you dread it? Enjoy it? Avoid it altogether?

Geez! Like you said, it is not a shopping trip. It is a trip to a spa and relaxation center. That just makes you want to spend more though on shopping. LOL! But how awesome they thought of that and make shoppers feel stress-free while the kids are also entertained. 🙂
I was there too! It was amazing!! The atmosphere was elegant and the service was perfect. Definitely looking forward to experiencing it again. It makes braving the crowds worth it!
Looks very luxurious. I love that they donate to the Hospital for the sick children. Sounds like a great place to go for Christmas shopping.
love all the entertainment for kids! and especially the gift wrapping service. I like to do it at the start but when there’s like 15 individual presents to wrap oh please help me!
That’s when you leave your gifts with them, grab a coffee, and relax! So perfect!!
I love that you can donate to get the services. That’s win-win, and hurrah for the smart act on the part of the charity!! I hope it brings in lots of donations for them.
Isn’t it great? And the attendants said that even people who got the services for free make a donation anyways! Awesome!
Wow, this is such a wonderful service! I know many people would love this.
That’s AMAZING!! I for one am one of those who HATES shopping when it gets too crazy, so this would be right up my alley! I love the idea of valet parking too!!! No fighting for a parking spot only to find one a mile away from the store you need to get to! Love it!
