We have had such a great Christmas vacation so far! Even though there is no snow, we have done so many fun family activities! Potluck get togethers, card games, board games, special dinners, and Christmas books. Another fun part of our celebrations has been doing family movie nights. We often have a finger food-type supper that we can eat easily in front of the TV. Everyone puts on their PJs and gathers in the living room to choose a show on Netflix.
Netflix has a fun new animated series, based on Madagascar’s King Julian. “All Hail King Julian” premiered on Netflix on December 19, and has five great episodes – perfect for family movie time! Our friends at Netflix helped us have a King Julian party to celebrate the new show! Pizza from Boston Pizza, fun hats & glasses, and decorations.
The characters are great – very funny and genuine. The storylines are well-written, and are funny even for the adults! There were a lot of laugh-out-loud jokes, and our boys are quoting lines from the movie even days later. It’s a perfect series to party with for the whole family on New Year’s Eve.
For some honest kid-reviews, check out this fun video from the premiere screening a few weeks ago.

What shows are you enjoying on Netflix these days?
