Lego Creation Preserving!

MR – Our boys have really been into Lego these days.  And they don’t just keep it in one spot – they need to play with their creation everywhere in the house.  So we’re always watching our step for random Lego on the floor…ouch.

I had seen a neat post (can’t find the link to it anymore) on a neat way to keep their favourite creation – long after it falls apart or becomes something new.  Just take a close-up picture of it, buy a dollar store frame, and that’s it!

This is my eldest’s creation.

I put a few white pieces of paper behind it and took a bunch of closeups, and chose the best one.

I enlarged it to a 5×7 (a dollar), and bought a frame for $2, so the entire project cost just $3, and the boys were thrilled with them!

I live in Hamilton, Ontario, and love my city. I'm a Netflixer, choral music geek, bookworm, inventor of recipes (I take Artistic Licence on EVERYTHING that I make), wife of one, mother of two, and owner of a neurotic Schnauzer. I respect people who respect others. I love good food that's well done, but my favourite lunch is KD & hotdogs. With ketchup. I'm addicted to Clearance Shopping. I will ALWAYS get the product that I want at the price that I want, eventually.

  1. Love it! I am totally going to do this as well – $3 is totally worth it. Thanks for the reminder of this project.

I also love the lego tray. Great idea.
