I had come across this recipe a while back from a great site MrsJanuary.com. It was a recipe for a Nesquick-type of chocolate syrup. We don’t use this very often, but I thought it would be nice to have around as we head in to summer (ice cream season). I just like the fact that it doesn’t contain all those preservatives. It’s also nice to save a bit of money while you’re at it!
You can use it for chocolate milk,
or just drizzle on things…mmm
Fried Bananas & Chocolate Sauce
Hot Fudge Peanut Butter Cream Cheese Pie
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Mug Cake
The possibilities are endless….hungry yet?

I respect people who respect others. I love good food that's well done, but my favourite lunch is KD & hotdogs. With ketchup. I'm addicted to Clearance Shopping. I will ALWAYS get the product that I want at the price that I want, eventually.

Yum. I made some homemade chocolate syrup too. It tastes so much better than the store bought stuff! I’m definitely going to try this recipe as the one I made had more sugar in it.
Hope it turns out well! Enjoy!
I made some tonight and it turned out great!
My tips- use good quality cocoa; simmer for longer if you want it thicker. I simmered mine for 5 minutes and it’s the right consistency for us.
Yummy!
Mmmmm! Thanks for sharing, Cassie! And thanks for stopping by! I love your site!
