Easy Pet Fur Cleanup

Marya here!! I have been totally MIA over the past few months. Life has gotten so very busy with four boys, work, Jays games, and life in general!! In all that busyness, I’m still trying to keep up with some basic meal planning and house-cleaning.

I’m going to share a quick hack with you today that I tried for pet fur removal!!! Our lovely dog Pippen has medium-length fur. She seems to shed a fair bit twice a year, and doesn’t like being brushed…so she leaves little piles of fur on the couch!  I don’t often (EVER) have time to get out the vacuum and clean the cushions on a regular basis, so Pinterest to the rescue!! I remember seeing that a squeegee would easily remove pet fur from soft surfaces. So…I gave it a shot!!

It was SO quick and easy for each cushion. A few quick strokes, and I had a fairly large pile of fur! Very impressive!! And so much easier than dragging out the vacuum!

We’ve got some long carpeted stairs heading up to the bedrooms, so I thought I’d try it there too.  BINGO!!  Fur, dust, and a bit of dirt piled up easily on each step!

Do you have any other clever and quick housecleaning tips? I’d love to hear what works for you!!!

I live in Bowmanville, and am a mom to four young boys - it can get a little loud in my house. I am a Christian, a part-time French teacher, a piano teacher and former homeschooler. I love finding the best deals, which will come in handy when our boys become hungry teenagers! We just moved to a house with more outdoor space, and I'm still getting used to life in the country (a walk around the block is a lot longer here!).
