DIY Ski Storage for Garage #palletideas

As I was running errands this weekend, I happened upon a garage sale where they were giving away four pairs of cross country skis for FREE!! And as I love anything with good value, I scooped them up.  We’ve been wanting to try some cross country skiing for the past few years, but haven’t gotten around to buying any! 

So we wiped them down, and they looked as good as new!  Unfortunately though, we don’t have the most organized garage, and I was a little concerned about storing them without causing a massive domino effect.  My oldest son and I tried a few things here and there, and then we saw half an old pallet we picked up a few months ago! 

We leaned it up against the wall, and it was just perfect!! Big enough to store 5-6 pairs of skis upright! All we need is for my husband to attach it to the wall, and voila! Our skis are stored out of the way! We can even use all the space leading up to the wall, for bikes/lawn mowers, etc.  Perfect!!

 I love the rustic effect of the pallet against the white wall.  Very pleased with how it turned out!!
