Coffee Filter Easter Eggs

I saw  this pin a few weeks ago for making easter eggs with coffee filters, and I thought it was pretty cute.  We’ve already made snowflakes and butterflies with coffee filters, but I thought we’d try these.
I had a house full of boys for the day (aged 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1) and this craft was great for them. Messy enough to be entertaining, but not too messy for me to clean up. I cut a bunch of coffee filters into egg shapes. The boys coloured all over them with Crayola markers.
We got out  a spray bottle of water, and sprayed them lightly (or not so lightly).  We left them to dry on the table – they left some mess underneath, but it wiped clean with a cloth.  The boys loved watching the colours run and change.  The eggs look beautiful in the window!

I live in Bowmanville, and am a mom to four young boys - it can get a little loud in my house. I am a Christian, a part-time French teacher, a piano teacher and former homeschooler. I love finding the best deals, which will come in handy when our boys become hungry teenagers! We just moved to a house with more outdoor space, and I'm still getting used to life in the country (a walk around the block is a lot longer here!).
