Back to Basics – Life Lessons from Netflix #streamteam

Back to school. Back to routines.  That’s what fall is about for many families. And while learning our numbers and letters are extremely important, there are some life lessons we need to learn which are just as important.  Love God. Love others. Love our world and care for it. We’ve been talking a lot about being “green” lately, and what it means to take care of this wonderful place we live.

One of our favourite books, ever since the kids were little, is The Lorax.  Even though it was written over forty years ago, it’s environmental ideas are exactly what we need to hear today!

So we were very excited to see The Lorax movie on Netflix.  Such a neat way to adapt and modernize the story while keeping the original idea. It’s fun for both kids and parents.

I live in Bowmanville, and am a mom to four young boys - it can get a little loud in my house. I am a Christian, a part-time French teacher, a piano teacher and former homeschooler. I love finding the best deals, which will come in handy when our boys become hungry teenagers! We just moved to a house with more outdoor space, and I'm still getting used to life in the country (a walk around the block is a lot longer here!).
